Guard Tronic President and Fort Smith Regional Manager, Jordon Brown, has been added to a second Technical Committee by UL Solutions, formerly Underwriters Laboratories.

Jordon served on a task group for UL 827, Central Station Alarm Service, in April 2020.  The task group was assembled to help establish the requirements for work from home operators at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.  Once completed, he was added to the roster of THC 827-301.

He was recently added to the Technical Committee for UL 38, Manual Signaling Boxes For Fire Alarm Systems.

“Guard Tronic has been UL Listed for almost 50 years.   It is an honor to be the first Guard Tronic employee to serve on a UL Technical Committee.  I will get to help craft the codes and standards that keep us safe, not just in the geographical areas that Guard Tronic serves, but nationwide.” Jordon said about the appointment.

Jordon said that he has already had an opportunity to vote for a change to the standard and looks forward to improving the standards for our industry.
