Is your alarm company calling you every time the power blips?
If they are calling about your fire alarm system, there is a good chance it is out of compliance.
Fire code states:
Supervising station alarm systems shall be arranged to delay transmission of primary power failure signals for 60 minutes to 180 minutes unless a delay is not permitted by the authority having jurisdiction.
– NFPA 72 10.6.9.3
Fire alarm systems are required to have 24 hours of standby battery. There is no reason to report a power failure if the a.c. is out for less than one hour.
