Could you guilty of negligence?
Is the monitoring station for your current alarm company calling you incessantly about trouble signals from your fire alarm system?
Are you at the point of ignoring them because they happen so frequently?
What does a fire trouble signal mean?
A trouble means that something with the fire alarm system isn’t working properly. It can include a broken wire, low battery trouble, or a low battery in a wireless sensor (among many other failures).  You alarm company’s central station is required by code to notify you of these signals.
Fire code also requires you, the customer, to take responsibility for these signals.  If you ignore these signals, or if you fail to have the system serviced when in trouble condition, and suffer a loss, you could be responsible for the loss.  Even worse, your insurance underwriter may refuse to pay for a loss if they know you were negligent about your fire alarm system maintenance.
If the fire alarm system installation company is refusing to perform necessary maintenance, you could still be held responsible.
It may be time to find a new fire alarm system service company.
