Traveling this holiday season?
Don’t forget to leave your house sitter or pet sitter a key, a code to the alarm system, and train them how to use the system.  Make sure they understand how to use the system and what to do if the alarm sounds.
Good system training includes:
- Calling us to let us know you’ll be setting the alarm off and ask us to put the system in test. Be prepared to give your passcode or all okay word. The central station phone number is: (800) 542-7866
- Sequence the user through how to use the system.
- Let THEM show you how to use the system.
- Involve your house sitter in the demonstration.
- Let the alarm sound. Make sure they can properly use the system with the stress of having the siren sounding.
- Explain the impact of false alarms. Ensure they know the stress it places on our responding agencies and could cost you in false alarm fines.
