Porch pirates know how to defeat your doorbell camera!
While we are big fans of doorbell cameras, it shouldn’t be your only defense against porch pirates, or any other criminal.
A better system utilizes multiple cameras, including several pointed toward the road to get a vehicle make, model, and description.
The best system allows delivery personnel to unlock your door using their own code, which would also disarm the security system, and place the package inside your home.  A push notification would be sent to your smart device notifying you that the delivery was made. You could then rearm the system and verify the door has been locked. An alternative would be that the doorbell camera alerts you to the delivery so you can unlock the door for the delivery driver.
