Guard Tronic employees volunteer thousands of hours every year to various faith-based, civic, and industry groups and events. We primarily post about our employees’ involvement with industry related organizations like the Arkansas Security Alarm Association, the Oklahoma Burglar and Fire Alarm Association, the National Electronic Security Alliance, and the False Alarm Reduction Association. But these industry groups are a small part of the amazing work our team members participate in outside of work.

Several of our Fort Smith team members will spend Friday night celebrating our neighbors with special gifts (needs), by helping host a drive-through prom for them. We will also be joined by many of our customers, friends, and neighbors.  Prior to the pandemic there were 350+ people with special needs honored by over 1,100 volunteers.   This year will be smaller and different to keep us all safe and healthy, but no less important and fun.

Night to Shine is a prom-event for people with special needs, age 14 and older. It is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and hosted by the WestArk Church of Christ in Fort Smith. These proms take place in all 50 states and around the world.  Covid has changed the way these celebrations happen, but we will still be honoring those that many times feel marginalized.

We encourage everyone to donate of yourself to organizations you believe in and feel passionately about. If you are in the Fort Smith area, we invite you to join several of us as we participate in FSNight to Shine.   More information may be found at:  https://fsnighttoshine.org/
