Jordon Brown, our Fort Smith regional manager, was added to a Underwriters Laboratories Task Group for the standard, UL827. The group is evaluating how central stations can maintain security during a pandemic event like Covid-19. This Task Group has a goal of getting an emergency change into the Standards Technical Panel (STP-205) by Friday, May 8, 2020 for adoption on a short-term basis, with an eye toward a long-term change by summer.
